Dr. Mary (also known as "Missy") grew up in Kansas City. In 1978 she graduated from Kansas City State University, along with Dr. Mark, and has been practicing at Layton Animal Hospital since graduation. She enjoys practicing small animal medicine in a family oriented friendly practice. She and Dr. Mark have 4 children- Dennis, Steven, Eileen, and Elizabeth plus many pets to keep their house busy - 2 dogs, 1 cat, birds and others! She is active in church and school activities and enjoys family activities including traveling, camping, gardening and sporting events.

Dr. Mark is originally from Burlington Wisconsin. He received a Bachelor of Science in 1974 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1978 from Kansas City State University. Aside from what Dr. Missy has already said....He also enjoys bowling, fishing and attending sports events!
Ashleigh R. Morrow, D.V.M.
Dr. Ashleigh was born and raised right here in Milwaukee. She worked Layton Animal Hospital since 2007 as an assistant technician, and now is back after graduating from the Universitiy of Wisconsin - School of Veterinary Medicine. She has a passion for small animal medicine, the "small fuzzies" of special species (rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and rats), and surgery. Outside of work, Dr. Ashleigh loves spending time with her pets (Drake, her black lab, Lily, her mini lop rabbit, and Shiva, her exotic shorthair cat - and first ever spay!) and family and friends. She also enjoys sports of all kinds, traveling, reading, and outdoor activities (especially fishing!) She looks forward to meeting and working with you and your pets!
Melissa Wiencek, Practice Manager
Melissa joined the Layton Animal Hospital family in August of 2010. She began as a receptionist and later became the Office Manager bringing over 12 years of managerial and business experience to our hospital.
While her experience is mainly in finance, she was a previously a member of the Layton Animal Hospital family as she volunteered here for more than 3 years as a teen. She is also a member of the Wisconsin Veterinary Practice Manager Association.
Melissa lives in Milwaukee with her husband Nick and their daughter Jordyn. Her husband has built several show cars in the area of which they own five. As a family, they love attending many of the local car shows. In the process, their daughter is becoming quite the automotive apprentice and even started working here!
They have 3 furry members of their family. Cosmo is a young, sweet toy aussie that is full of love and energy that they rescued from Woof Gang Rescue. They also have 2 Ragdoll cats; Sebrina and Skids. They are extremely friendly, beautiful cats who amuse them with their antics on a daily basis. Their pets bring them laughter, worry, love and plenty of fun stories to share.
Seeing all of our valued clients and their special pets every day gives Melissa great satisfaction. Certainly, working with the doctors and staff of Layton Animal Hospital in such a family environment is an added bonus!
